I had implants years ago & I wanted them out. I made a very poor choice of a surgeon the 1st time around, didn't do my OWN research & that wasn't going to happen again. I researched ALL the Doctors in town. Narrowed it down to 3, then began almost stalker status on them LOL. Dr. Moz was the frontrunner so I called places he used to work. Spoke to nurses.... even Human Resources...oh yeah, I went there! Long story short, made the best decision. Had a very long surgery 8 days ago, been bothering the practice everyday with questions & concerns. Then texting with Dr. Moz thru the night. I love Dr. Moz and Belladerma! I had breast surgery 8 years ago by another doctor. Not only did I have a bad outcome, it was not a good experience with the doctor nor the staff. My breasts ended up being uneven and I did not trust the doctor to do a revision.

If you passed her by, you probably wouldn’t notice, but Eva Jenkins was beautiful. As a child, she was one of seven children; praised as the “good child,” she fulfilled her role not to stand out. Mommy Makeover— Another Ultimate Comeback!
After topping 200 pounds following the birth of her second child, and suffering from low self-esteem and post-partum depression, Hollie Hibbard committed to making her “Ultimate Comeback.” According to Hollie, “I owed it to my family to be happy and feel good about myself. I thought, ‘how will my children develop the healthy self-images that I wanted for them, if I didn’t model that to them?’”
So Hollie took one small step – she began running. After running two half-marathons and the San Diego Rock and Roll Marathon, Hollie lost 70 pounds and felt amazing! But when she looked in the mirror, she was still a stranger to herself. Her image didn’t reflect the fitness she’d worked so hard to achieve. “No matter how hard I exercised, my tummy still hung over my pants. Describe the effects of pregnancy on your body and skin:
After my first pregnancy, I bounced back really well. But after the birth of my second child, everything seemed to change! I developed horrible acne during my pregnancy and my skin started to develop slightly darker patches as well. This did not seem to go away after my son was born. I was left with more acne and some scarring from it. As for my body, I felt like it did not snap back to shape either. I lost, the 30 pounds of pregnancy weight, and then gained back 10 pounds since I was ignoring myself and concentrating on my two kids. My stomach was stretched out of shape and looked nothing like before my kids. I was chubby all over and unhappy about it.
I decided that when I was able to lose the weight and reach my goal that I would like to correct the few things left that were bothering me. After almost a year of consistent exercise, portion control and changing to a healthy way of eating, I lost 23 pounds. I was excited to reach my goal, but then was faced with the disappointment of my tummy still looking stretched and not even close to flat. My chest, which had been fine throughout my pregnancies, was somewhat smaller and shapeless. I also had a couple of problem areas around my waistline that were resistant to losing some fat retained from my pregnancy. I decided to have a consultation to find out if there was something that could be done to help with these problem areas. Dr. told me that my stomach would only be as flat as the stretched out muscle underneath, and my last pregnancy had stretched it out. I also had loose skin on my lower stomach that would not go away with more weight loss. But, he showed me how a modified tummy tuck could eliminate both these problems in combination with some liposuction. My chest could be revived with a breast lift and small silicone implants to bring the shape back. And my skin’s problems of acne spots/scars and pigment areas could be minimized and my overall skin rejuvenated with an Obaji Blue Peel on my face, neck and chest. After reading the materials Belladerma supplied to me, and doing some research online, I discussed it with my husband and decided that it was exactly what I needed to restore my self-confidence and feel like myself again.
How has the mommy makeover changed your life?
I am so excited about the results of my mommy makeover! My skin looks so great and feels great too. I rarely ever wear makeup anymore unless I am dressing up. I don’t feel like I have to cover up my spots on my face since my breakouts have lessened and I have been told my skin looks younger too! I think that I am the most excited about my stomach. It is so flat and little again! I had a friend tell me that I look smaller than when I got married 10 years ago, and it is the truth. I have lost another 6 pounds since my surgery and I feel great! Another great product of my surgery is that my chest looks like I never even had children. I love that I don’t need to wear an extra supportive bra anymore while I exercise or to give myself an attractive shape.
My husband and children have been so supportive throughout this entire process. My husband had always told me that he thought I looked fine the way I was, but he would support me with having the surgery too. Now he says that I look great and he can tell that I am happier with the changes. My daughter says that I look “pretty” and “cute” which is flattering coming from a 6 year old.
How long did it take for you to get back to normal mommy activities?
I feel like I was able to get back to my normal or modified normal routine rather quickly. I was lucky to have wonderful grandparents who took my 2 children for the first week during the daytime and some nights so that I could rest and heal. By day 11 after my surgery I was driving my kids to camp and doing about 75% of my normal daily routine. By 4 weeks postoperative I was feeling like myself again and by 5 weeks, I was back to doing a modified slower exercise routine at the gym again.
What would you tell other women who are considering a mommy makeover?
I would tell them to do what feels right for them, not what others think is right. You deserve to be happy in your own body and if that means surgery, then do it. But be practical about what this involves. The hardest part of this for me was making sure my kids were taken care of while I recovered and the fact that I missed them so much. The recovery is a short amount of time in the scheme of things and having my kids home with me would have been too difficult and it would have prolonged my healing time. Also, do your homework on the procedures that you are interested in. Have questions ready for the nurses, staff and doctor so that there are no surprises waiting for you after the fact. The most important thing of all is to find a doctor who you trust and feel comfortable asking questions, no matter how small. I never once worried about my surgery because I knew I was in good hands. When I did have questions or concerns, the staff always made me feel good about calling them. My experience was so wonderful and I have been happy to tell my friends and family about my mommy makeover because I am proud of what I have done.

I have lived with things I didn’t like about myself for most of my adult life. I didn’t like to look in the mirror anymore. When you gave me my facelift, it changed my whole life. It’s why I’m married to the love of my life. The facelift gave me a confidence I didn’t have before. Inside I felt young, but outside I felt my looks betrayed me. I never would have had the courage to look him up if not for you, and here I am, 78 years old and a newlywed of one year!!
Then I got my tummy tuck and breast lift. My husband kept telling me he loved me the way I was, and I know he truly loves me no matter how I look, but I’ve wanted to have this done for decades really, and I am beyond stunned at the results.
Before, I never tried on clothes when I shopped. I didn’t want to look in those big mirrors. It was always so depressing. The other day, Michele took me shopping, and I bought things I never would have considered before. Having given the ultimate sacrifice, supporting her husband, an enlisted Marine for ten years, and caring for her three children, including a son suffering from cerebral palsy and epilepsy, Lori Brown has been given the gift to finally care for herself. She underwent cosmetic surgery including breast augmentation, abdominoplasty, liposuction, and facial rejuvenation procedures.
Lori has dealt with the stresses of raising three children, supporting her husband through several deployments, coping with the financial hardships so familiar to military families, and caring for her son. How can I thank you and your wonderful staff for the care and concern you showed in trying to schedule my surgery while waiting for the scheduling of my mother’s unexpected heart surgery? I really appreciate your patience and openness of allowing me the opportunity to cancel or make last minute changes. Your flexibility eased my anxiety, which enabled me to forge ahead with plans on a weekly basis. (Not sure many doctors would be that accommodating)!

I scheduled a consultation with you because you came highly recommended. Upon first meeting you and your staff, I knew I was in the right hands. I was impressed from the beginning and the prices were reasonable. No one tried to “sell” me anything more than was needed.
There is nothing more you could have done to make my experience better. Even during surgery, I appreciated that you explained what you were doing, what it would feel like, etc. Your explanations immediately put me at ease.

The day of surgery, I was nervous but excited. Everyone was so nice and reassuring. You know, for people who haven’t been through this before, I’m not sure they can ever appreciate how different an experience this is. It isn’t just that everyone is so professional and knows what they are doing, I really felt like everybody cared.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!! My body is starting to look so much nicer. Before the surgery, my body looked just plain ugly for so long. Diet and exercise just did nothing for me. After menopause, things just got worse. The only thing that could have and did fix me was your work!

Just thought I’d drop a line to thank you and let you know that because of the wonderful surgery you performed, my life has changed for the better! As a result of my change in attitude towards myself, I’ve met a wonderful man, am engaged to be married in April, and have a great life ahead of me! I have never had such a great experience getting Botox. I get the injections every 6-8 month and never get any “funny expressions” on my forehead. Recently I’ve got my smile lines fixed as well. The results are fantastic! He is like a magician mixed with an artist. He definitely has an eye for what he does. The staff is so nice, friendly and professional. It is a true pleasure going there. I cannot recommend him enough!

I had my consultation with Dr. Moz and Patty, and knew right away this was the doctor for me! Not only does he tell it like it is, he also has some humor to him, which I enjoyed because you need some humor when going through such a surgery. Patty was amazing as well.
