What Is Kybella®?
Kybella® is a minimally invasive treatment for submental fullness, the excess fat that forms under the chin and along the jawline to create a double or triple chin. Before Kybella® was introduced, men and women who wanted to eliminate this type of excess fat had to undergo liposuction or other types of plastic surgery.
Kybella® produces similar, if not superior, results without the downtime or scarring. Kybella® is not recommended for patients with skin laxity that will contribute to sagging after the injections. In these cases, Dr. Mozaffari will recommend a neck lift and/or liposuction.

How Is Kybella® Administered?
We have a nurse injector on staff to perform our Kybella® treatments and other dermal fillers and injectables. Dr. Mozaffari performs these treatments upon request. We also have an aesthetician who performs chemical peels, facials, and other medical spa treatments.
Kybella® contains an enzyme that breaks down fat cells. You will need a series of treatments, and full results may take up to 16 weeks.
What Is Recovery Like After Kybella® Injections?
Kybella® injections do not require any downtime. The area may feel tender and have some mild swelling, but this typically resolves on its own within a few days of treatment.
